Sifu Tal is a native Israeli (trained and served as an infantryman) who has been practicing and teaching traditional martial arts for over 30 years now. His main art is Southern Mantis, of the Jook Lum lineage. Though an Israeli, he has spent many years living in the USA. Nowadays, he often travels abroad to give courses worldwide.
Beyond teaching Southern Mantis, sifu Tal is an also expert on practical self-defense applications and psychology, which he has taught extensively to many law enforcement personnel and countless women in specialized courses.
Many years ago, one of Sapir’s students heroically fought off a rapist with the kung fu he had taught her. Following that incident, sifu realized that most women would not have fared well under such conditions, not even after having been instructed with useful empty-handed self-defense. It was then that he began a research that lead to the creation of Spikey, which is now the hallmark of his self-defense teachings.

A great little book -- by a very knowledgeable author. And finally, The Story of a Story is the autobiographical story of a story wanting to be told, and a young woman who dreams of being an author.
Overall, I found these stories to be very well-written and entertaining, and also quite uplifting. I will be purchasing more of her books. Nice book. Here, we learn of the workhorse Phantom, a major player in the Vietnam War and some duty during the Gulf War.
