This newly revised and expanded edition of the Artech House classic, "Radiowave Propagation and Antennas for Personal Communications", offers a current and comprehensive introduction to the practice and underpinnings of personal communications. Every chapter has been updated to explain how the latest ultra-wide band technology affects all aspects of personal communications. The third edition covers important innovations such as wireless local networks, personal networks, and MIMO techniques. Written for a broad spectrum of readers, this practical resource is useful to experienced engineers designing systems, EE professors teaching fundamentals, or technology consultants needing a quick, cohesive overview. In addition to its accessible coverage of technology and theory, this unique volume examines how radio waves and wireless devices affect the human body.

Great book with many projects along with full building and programming instructions. BRILLIANT!. Well written, great projects, hours of learning fun!. Great reference material.. Artists, hobbyists and gadget freaks will be literally gobsmacked by how handy this is. Some errors not withstanding, a book that will most certainly benefit a practicing engineer! All those who have not studied antennas in their course work, yet need to specify, test and deploy; all those who will never see an antenna, but must understand the path-loss mechanism in a fading environment will find it an invaluable resource. Refreshing to read versus other styles like Jack Welch.. Great book. It's a mess.. we hope for volumes 2, 3, etc.. It describes the cellular/PCS propagation phenomena in down to earth terms, and ties them neatly to the handset/base-station requirements.. This book the is the very favorite among all tech handbooks in our HS library. But, it's still thorough in other respects.. The book is logi
