TOM FLETCHER loves Christmas, DOUGIE POYNTER loves reptiles and they have a shared obsession with poop! After writing songs together for nine years in the band McFly, they wrote this book in the same way that they write their song lyrics.
For example, Mansfield mentions briefly that there are reasons to believe that the introduction of nuclear weapons may have changed the relationship between the distribution of power and war, but does not go on to explain why he fails to take the argument seriously.
Still, Mansfield should be praised for the care and skill he demonstrates in dealing with a wide variety of theories, data sets, and statistical methods. Great to have in your collection.
However, it is simply studio recordings of Duke in his day.
Don't be surprised if some of the bass scores don't exactly line up with the bass lines you hear on the recording.
But its good classic material, with Duke Ellington's beautiful style.. In the 25 years since I quit I have not found a better book on the subject. The one weakness I see is an over emphasis on philanthropy. I would have stopped after the first two. Five stars.. It's a bit dry at times if you aren't enthralled by economics, but this slender hi
